YOGA WALL IS HERE!

OTAC Breathe is a fully dedicated studio designed to help you achieve all the mind and body benefits of yoga and Pilates.
When you walk through our doors, you have access to three separate areas of focus. First is our classic studio, which is devoted to a wide range of yoga styles including foundational practices, Hatha, alignment-based yoga, restorative yoga, mat Pilates, and asanas using our yoga wall.
Our second studio offers classes in hot vinyasa, warm foundations, slow flow and Pitaiyo (a fusion of yoga, Pilates and Tai chi).
Lastly, our fully equipped Pilates studio contains reformers, Cadillacs, barrels and chairs that emphasize pelvic and spinal alignment and help build flexibility and long, lean muscles. Sessions are offered privately or in small groups.
With 45 weekly classes to choose from, OTAC Breathe is an oasis of whole health, helping you gently release stress and build strength with techniques both classical and cutting-edge.

Classes Offered

Foundations

This class focuses on safety in poses, modifications for every body, and basic yoga asanas (postures). Open to everyone, perfect for beginners.

Hatha

Hatha style is a gentle practice emphasizing alignment and mental focus. In order to obtain maximum benefits, this practice encourages the use of props such as blocks and straps, which offer variations for poses. Suitable for all levels of yoga practitioners, highly recommended for beginners.

Restorative

The answer to relieving stress is to relax the body and mind! This therapeutic practice relieves physical and mental stress through the use of props. Bolsters, blankets and blocks may be used to support the body as you relax into gentle forward folds to calm the nervous system and twists and modified back bends to bring circulation to the spine. Suitable for all levels.

Hot Vinyasa Open

Come sweat with us! This class offers vigorous yoga flows that are designed to build strength and increase flexibility. Typically starting with Surya Namaskaras or Sun Salutations and can include but is not limited to balancing postures, backbends, twists, arm balances and inversions. This class is “Open” because it is suitable to all-levels with options for beginners and seasoned yoga practitioners alike.

Slow Flow Yoga

A slower paced yoga practice that allows time to fully explore yoga postures. The practice will build heat through expanded sun salutations and gentle flowing sequences then transition to restorative floor work. Suitable for all levels.

Yin and Yoga Nidra

This class features a series of passive and long held stretches that benefit the connective tissues of the body. Tendons, fascia, bones and joints are the focus, to allow freedom of movement. Yin is especially beneficial to athletes. In Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep), students are led through an active relaxation of contracting and relaxing the muscles. Studies have shown that twenty minutes of this practice has the same effects of three hours of REM sleep.

Alignment Yoga

Alignment Yoga is characterized by great attention to detail and precise focus on body alignment in the practice of asanas (postures). The practice develops strength, mobility and stability in the body, calmness in the mind and expansion in the breath. With it’s step-by-step approach it makes use of the props such as belts, blocks and blankets as aids in preforming the postures. This class is “Open” because it is suitable for all levels

Pilates Mixed Equipment and Mat Classes

Pilates is a physical fitness discipline that focuses on developing core postural muscles which help keep the body balanced and provide essential support of the spine. Pilates exercises will help you achieve better posture, reduce muscular and joint pain, increase flexibility and achieve an overall healthier and more toned physique. Suitable for all levels

Pitaiyo

Pitaiyo is three exercise disciplines in one class: Pilates, tai chi and yoga. Pitaiyo uniquely fuses movement fitness, psychology of sport and living self awareness. It is singularly dedicated to be an enduring force toward achieving a lifestyle of personal balance. Suitable for all levels. 

Breathe Fusion

In this 60 minute class, we bring together elements of Pilates and Yoga for practitioners to receive the benefits of both disciplines in one great session! Breathe Fusion breaks down into 20 minutes of core work, 20 minutes of flow yoga, and finishes with 20 minutes of deep stretching.

Breathe Power Circuit

For the more experienced student, this is a vigorous circuit-formatted class designed to target the whole body. Emphasis on core engagement, breath and posture; each session is spiced up by a multiple station format with the combination of cardio, strength and endurance. Come prepared to sweat and enjoy the pilates equipment in a new and challenging way! (Prerequisite –minimum of 10 mixed equipment classes required prior to attendance.)
