Dear Old Town Athletic Campus Families,
Wow, it has been a crazy couple of days around here. As you may have noticed, Phase 1 for Virginia Commonwealth has had multiple revisions the last few weeks, especially for fitness and exercise businesses, which has impacted our plans. We continue to rapidly re-adjust and make every effort to abide by these regulations so we are able to safely and effectively open our doors for you! Executive Orders reflect new changes since our last communication to you that we must comply with and has impacted our opening plan.
The good news is we are going to open on Friday, May 15th! In order to abide by the new regulations, we will be offering outdoor workouts only under the guidelines provided until we get the approval to move indoors. But have no fear, we have a plan in place that we believe could be really fun for the short term!
We have rented GIGANTIC tents and will be offering Spark, Fury, Breathe and Divergent sessions in their own tents. They will be installed Monday morning. We will even offer IRON workouts outside under cover! We also have revamped the covered outdoor Kid Care area to use as a Spin “Studio”!
IRON will NOT be open Friday, May 15 – Sunday, May 17 as we will be moving equipment and setting up during this time to accommodate outdoor workouts. On May 18, IRON will open for outdoor workouts organized by your training team. Reservations will be required to workout. Members and staff members may sign up through the OTAC app on the EVENTS tab. Bookings will be allowed up to 3 days ahead of time. One hour workout times are available. Click here to check out instructions on how to make an IRON reservation.
Please continue to use the OTAC app to make your reservations for Spark, Breathe, Fury and Force (just like you normally do) and we will be running classes and sessions outdoors, rain or shine!
At Divergent Performance ALL ATHLETES MUST RESERVE THEIR SPOT IN CLASS BEFOREHAND. Please contact Coach Russell if you have not already received login credentials or if you need assistance with the sign-up process.
One adjustment to the SPARK schedule: Spin Classes will start on Monday, May 18. See the APP to reserve your bike.

Outdoor activities will comply with the guidelines – 10’ social distancing and max 10 people per activity
WHAT TO BRING
We ask that you please bring your own water, towel and mat (if you need one). Don’t worry if you forget your water, we will have water for sale, as usual, at a station outside.
THINGS TO KNOW
✔ We will be using the time in between your scheduled workouts, classes and training sessions for cleaning and sanitizing workout areas and equipment outside.
✔ Kids Club will be closed at this time.
✔ We will be offering shakes to you outside beginning May 18. Simply place your order with us prior to your workout with a designated time you’d like your shake to be ready by and it will be waiting for you at the outdoor shake pick-up station upon completion of your workout.
✔ Our staff will closely monitor traffic at the beginning and end of classes and workouts to help you safely navigate the outdoor workout areas.
We know this is a difficult time for you and we want to assure you that we are working day and night to provide the smoothest transition for you. We are so appreciative of your support and understanding. Our OTAC family is a unique group of individuals with tremendous respect for one another and a genuine commitment to stay healthy in a safe manner. We know we can trust you to support each other in continuing our health and fitness in a respectful and positive way!
